For That Quiet Weekend Moment, Meet Luna

Luna Cafe

The Tulips at Luna

I’m very hesitant to write about this place. This is one of those things I would prefer to not share – like when you get good chocolate and suddenly find yourself extremely selfish. This place is perfect for a weekend afternoon because it’s cute and quiet. Catering to the locals in and around Trinity Bellwoods Park. Located off the beaten path at Argyle and Dovercourt, it is the perfect place to sit with your favourite book, to write something down or chat with an old friend while sipping coffee. It’s unassuming but sweet with tulips on the tables. If you’re peckish, the food is delicious and has a healthy touch. I had the eggs scramble wrap with smoked salmon, dill, capers and goat cheese while enjoying the smells of bacon cooking and smoked gruyere melting in the open kitchen. The clientele is a mix of people coming in to do work, with families for a meal, and with friends catching up. This local haunt doesn’t have a liquor licence so it isn’t a place to come for a breakfast cocktail, but you will leave with a smile on your face and some light in your heart.
