Boozy Jam, Kimchi, Ricotta, Oh My!

We’re rolling into the last week of January, and the New Years Resolutions have started to wear off. Maybe that 12-month gym membership wasn’t such a great idea, but the desire to branch out and try something new doesn’t have to be tossed away. Fairmount Park Farmers’ Market is hosting The Pitchfork School Winter Workshop Series — a fantastic variety of classes held over February, March and April led by local food legends such as Manning Canning, Alchemy Pickle Co., and many more. urban garden

There are eight types of workshops to choose from, and admission can be purchased individually or party-pack style;  the more classes you sign up for, the more you save. So if you can’t decide between traditional ghee-making, preserving with bourbon, homemade ricotta or planning your urban vegetable garden, I hereby give you permission to go wild. This is a great opportunity to support local businesses while learning something new. Now that’s a solid New Year’s Resolution.

All materials are included with each class, and space is limited to twelve. Pitchfork School classes tend to fill up quickly, so head on over to their registration site.
